Stoical after being awarded 
 Best Puppy at the 
ABB Championship Show 
   September 2000 The sire Ch. Marksbury Stoical, himself whelped on New Year's Day 2000.
Despite having only the last six months to qualify, he was
awarded the Dog World Best Bloodhound Puppy of 2000.
His first CC was at Birmingham National Championship Show
in April 2001 under Mr.J.F.C.Nixon. He gained his show title soon after reaching two years of age

Stoical's kennel-mate, Marksbury Intrigue, whelped June 1996, has climbed through the Stakes at trials, and has most recently performed the best identification in the Intermediate Stake at the Bloodhound Club Autumn Trials 2000, won by her brother Intrepid.

   the Kevin Milligan Memorial Cup for

The litter is line-bred to Suzanne's own Brighton's Overture, and goes back to her foundation bitch, who was the first post-war Dual Champion Bitch, Ch.& WTCh. Brumbies Dulcimer.

Lyrical gained her stud book entry as a puppy, and a her first CC was awarded at the Ladies Kennel Association Championship Show in December 2001.

Sadly she died in whelp 24th February 2004, leaving Sue to rear her fourteen puppies by hand.

 


   Suzanne has been showing Champion Bloodhounds since the late 1980s, with her
   first litter in 1991, before which she bred Champion wire haired dachshunds.
   She judges Shows and Trials at Championship level, besides writing the
   Bloodhound column for Dog World. Suzanne has been Secretary of the 
   Bloodhound Club,  and currently serves on the Committee of the ABB.
